I have now visited and had dinner twice at The Portly Chef with a friend who lives not far from the restaurant in North Van...we have not been disappointed either time!!! In fact, we have so-ooo enjoyed the food-the best dining out in a long time! Good prices, great food and great staff! We highly recommend anyone to put this "gem" of a restaurant on their "must go to" list!!! Can't wait for my next visit , maybe lunch!? :)

Tried The Portly Chef for lunch - delicious gourmet food definitely prepared with a passion and love for own creative & original food creations by The Portly Chef himself. It was a great pleasure enjoying a heavenly tasting Cobb Club sandwich- highly recommend it! The home made blue cheese aoli takes the sandwich to the next gourmet level! My husband enjoyed a fantastic fried oyster sandwich -Poor Boy- and we both were very pleased with our dishes. Great and very attentive service by manager Nick.
