Silk Cat Automotive was incorporated in 1990, and we have been celebrating over 25 years in business. We have been in our same North Vancouver location since we first opened our doors.

How We Run Our Business

There are many reasons why our customers keep coming back and have stayed loyal to us all these years. They all have to do with how we treat our customers and our philosophy on running our business. Without our customers we would cease to exist, so we strive to provide our customers with exceptional service.

Only Doing What’s Necessary: When we perform repair work on your vehicle, we only do work that’s necessary at this point in time. Unfortunately, many shops treat the customer as if they’ll never see them again and try to “sell” them as many products & services as they can. At Silk Cat we’re advocates of performing regular service on your vehicle based on what it actually needs, not when you happen to visit our shop. If your brakes have another 6 months of life left, then we’ll tell you to replace them at a future service, rather than try to sell you new brakes “today”.

Standing Behind Our Work: We strive to perform any service work on your vehicle to the highest standards. Although it’s not common, problems can sometimes arise. New parts installed to your vehicle may fail prematurely. Although rare, a mistake may have been made when working on your vehicle. In these cases, we will always correct the situation to the satisfaction of the customer. You can have peace of mind knowing that work done on your vehicle is backed by a warranty and that we firmly stand behind our work.

Attention to Detail: It’s the little things that our customers appreciate when they come to visit our shop. Getting your car washed after a service. Finding out that a small problem you forgot to mention (or even one you didn’t know about) was fixed for you. These are the things that show we are concerned with your entire vehicle, not only with the item you came to have repaired.
